Hi there. Welcome to Practice Space!

My name is Allie, and I am on a mission to remove the perceived obstacles that stop so many of my friends, family, and colleagues from ever taking their first Yoga class.

I’m on a mission to create a community based space both online and in person where every single human that wants to practice yoga and mindfulness feels comfortable doing so.

I am on a mission to let you know that all of your hesitations, thoughts and questions about taking a yoga class and the practice itself are valid and worth asking, because I promise as a yoga teacher I’ve heard it all 100000 times.

I’m on a mission to spread the word that your yoga practice doesn’t have to be complex, advanced or filled with wild postures to be effective, worthwhile, and truly change the way you feel about yourself and the world around you.

I’m on a mission to continue to practice for the rest of my life, and I hope that through a continuous, open and honest conversation with ourselves and with our community, we all find what we’re seeking on this human journey.

With all of this as my driving force, I’ve created a FREE space online where absolutely anyone can feel safe, comfy and curious in their yoga journey.

About My Yoga Practice, On and Off The Mat:

I came to Yoga off and on over the last 15 years, casually mixing it into my other physical fitness regimens, taking bits and pieces of the history and philosophy to find a deeper connection…but never really giving myself the permission to fully invest my mind, body, and spirit in the incredibly vast full yoga practice.

Every time I took a class it was filled with the anxiety of the unknown, and god forbid a teacher assisted me! I was so focused on doing it “right” that I was blind to the transformative path I was starting down.

As someone who could never touch their toes, do a split, or balance on one leg, I didn’t think I was someone who could really advance in yoga, and so I never allowed myself the time.

That all changed when Covid hit.

I had been practicing more frequently and found teachers I truly connected with, and a method of practice that resonated with me.

I went through my 200hr Awakening Yoga teaching program in 2021, and continue my education and personal study to this day…and I never plan to stop.

Allowing myself the time to explore the practice has brought so much peace, joy, and sense of accomplishment to my life that I feel it’s my purpose to create a way that anyone who is interested in the practice has an avenue to start playing with it.

As a late 30s mom of a little girl, the physical and mental strength, the skills to manage the tough stuff , and yes, even the ability to touch my toes have been life changing for me. I know I’m setting a great example for my daughter by taking the time to care for myself in this special way, and giving myself tools to manage all the things the world has in store for us.

I have never felt so whole, so strong, so capable and free to be the truest version of me, and I hope to help you find even just a little bit of that through your own practice.
