Every time I took a class it was filled with the anxiety of the unknown, and god forbid a teacher assisted me! I was so focused on doing it “right” that I was blind to the transformative path I was starting down. As someone who could never touch their toes, do a split, or balance on one leg, I didn’t think I was someone who could really advance in yoga, and so I never allowed myself the time. That all changed when Covid hit. I had been practicing more frequently and found teachers I truly connected with, and a method of practice that resonated with me. I went through my 200hr Awakening Yoga teaching program in 2021, and continue my education and personal study to this day…and I never plan to stop.
